Here are a few of my favorite pics from our recent family Christmas photo session. As usual Blake is so photogenic it is really hard for me to narrow them down for the blog and Christmas cards!
Wow am I behind on blogging! So incase you are WAY out of the loop and don't know yet we are almost 6 months pregnant with a baby GIRL!! She is due April 18th and we plan to name her Laila Amber! We were shocked to find we were having a girl this go around because she will be the 1st girl born into the Smith family in a long time!!! Blake is getting very excited and he says he will feed her and change her diapers! I even heard him bragging to another kid at Chick fil A that he "has a baby sister in mommy's belly"! Here is a sneak peak at how beautiful she is already!
This year for Halloween Blake was the scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz! It took a little convincing to get him to agree because he really wanted to be Dorothy at first but after he saw himself all dressed up as the scarecrow he loved his costume! He made good use of it too by going to Boo at the Zoo, a halloween party at Jamie's work, a halloween party with his playgroup, and the real halloween night Trick or Treating in our neighborhood! He had a great time this year and loved every minuite of it! He is getting to be such a big boy now!!
Man have I been falling behind in my posts! You would think that since I am a stay at home mom now I would have all the time in the world but it is just the opposite! My new boss (Blake) is a tough one and he doesn't like me to be on the computer much! It is finally fall here in TN and one of my most favorite times of the year! Here are some great fall pics!
Our little Miss Gracie is getting big just as fast as Blake! She spent a few days w/ Grandma while we went to the Boat Races and fits right in with her "pack" of dogs. Jack is her favorite playmate since they are about the same size (for now anyway!). She also LOVES to swim in Grandma's pool! She is a fish just like Blake and Jamie! This week she got spayed and did really good with the surgery. She has to wear a cone head when we leave her so she doesn't pull out her stitches and it is so funny to see her in it!
Blake is getting sooooo big now and talking up a storm! He looks like a six year old and is so smart! He knows how to count to 10 and about half of his ABC's and he's just 26 months old! He is also going to bump up to the 2 1/2-3 year old class at little gym because he fits in better size wise and can do everything they are doing in there. Here's a pic of him trying out his new roller skates, he's so athletic so he's really good at it!
Last weekend we made our annual trek down to Mimi and G-Diddy's for the Boat Races! As ALWAYS MiMi went above and beyond to make our stay AWESOME and so much fun. It is like staying at the best 5 star resort everytime we go there only it's even better! She stocks our "suite" with gifts and snacks and we lay by the pool all day and it is so relaxing! Blake was so excited about the "huge race boats" this year! Patrick and his friend Ryan and aunt Tami came as well as Granny and Papaw Smith and Colby and uncle Gary too! It was nice to spend time w/ everyone and we even got a 4 generation Smith family picture! Already looking forward to next year!
We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend and a fun-filled one too! Friday night Jacob spent the night with us and we took him and Blake to see Toy Story 3, it was sooo good! Saturday morning B and Jake had a good time slip n sliding in the backyard and playing in the sprinkler too! Saturday evening cousin Patrick and aunt Tami came over and we grilled out and did some sparklers, Blake LOVED the sparklers! And finally Sunday our awesome neighbors Roy, Lori and Brooklyn had their annual 4th of July cookout and we watched and did fireworks! Everyone came to our neighbors, even Tami and Patrick and Grandma Martin! It was a super fun weekend and we loved it!
Alert the media, there's finally a Girl in the Smith family!!!! Yesterday we finally made a decision on a new puppy! We spent alot of time meeting new dogs at local pit bull rescues and we finally decided on a 10-12 week old little girl named Gracie! She is very sweet and cuddly and SUPER smart. In the 1st 24 hours we've had her she hasn't had a single accident in the house and she has learned sit, lay down, speak, and roll over!!!! She also went on a shopping spree because I was excited to buy some pink stuff and also got a pink pawdicure! She is really healing our hearts! Welcome Gracie!
Grandma Martin wanted to enjoy the beach with Blake too so we packed up and drove down to Hilton Head. It was a very nice trip and we stayed at a really nice resort right on the beach. Blake was in heaven with the kiddie pool AND the beach! He loves to vacation!
We took Blake to the beach shortly after RoRo died, we wanted to get away for a while and it was very relaxing! We stopped off to North Augusta on the way to visit Jamie's side of the family. Blake is so spoiled by them! He got his very own John Deere Gator to drive when he's at Mimi and G-diddys! He loved that! He also loved playing in their pool with the remote control boat they got him! From there we went to Charleston and stayed with Jamie's best friend from High School, Jay and his wife Catie. Blake really loved playing with their doggie, Daisy (or Daze as he calls her)! He also LOVED the beach! He has no fear of the water whatsoever!!!! We also took him to a water park in Charleston for kids and he is a pro at the big water slides, he does it all by himself! He's a fish just like his dad! It was a great trip and thanks to Mimi and G-Diddy and Jay and Catie for letting us crash their places!
